OUR PARTNERS |
We’d like to acknowledge the support of our strategic partners, whose assistance enables us to support our network of Neighbourhood Support groups and provide information and resources to the public. |
Neighbourhood Support New Zealand is the hub of a network of local groups, partners and sponsors. Our common purpose is to create safe and caring neighbourhoods and communities, reducing the incidences and effects of criminal offending, building community resilience and strengthening community networks to improve the quality of life. New Zealand Police has a very close working relationship with Neighbourhood Support New Zealand and provides prevention advice to all Neighbourhood Support Groups. The purpose of New Zealand Police is to ensure that everyone in our communities is safe and feels safe, ultimately making New Zealand the safest country in the world. We aim to have the trust and confidence of all, with the goals of reducing crime and victimisation, death and injuries on our roads and social harm in our communities. Our motto is “Safer communities together”. View the NZ Police website. |
The Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (MCDEM) provides leadership, knowledge and support in preparing, responding and recovering from emergency events, promoting the importance of creating connected communities. In an emergency your neighbours and wider community may need your help, or be able to help you. We work with Neighbourhood Support to encourage Kiwis to build stronger communities so we are better able to get through. View Hamilton City Council Civil Defence.
